TSS has mechanisms in place to ensure a high retention rate of the right caliber of recruit. One of these mechanisms is the external and impartial testing and accreditation that is conducted with candidates prior to selection.

TSS runs AQTF accreditation programs for groups of candidates who are wanting to come to Australia on 457 visas. Candidates are accredited based on recognition of prior learning and the demonstration of practical and theoretical skills. These courses are run in the country of origin and use only Australian qualified trainers and assessors. The duration of these courses is from between two to four weeks. Candidates have their skills assessed by qualified trainers and assessors from Australian TAFE and Universities. Candidates who are successful are awarded an Australian qualification and are then able to be selected by prospective employers.

William Angliss Institute of TAFE

The head office and main educational facilities of William Angliss Institute of Tafe are located in the heart of Melbourne City. Sir William Angliss (1865-1957) founded the Institute in 1940 and since that time it has become Australia’s premier provider of tourism, hospitality and food industry training.
